Label Information

When ordering your labels, tell your printer:

  • Our label orientation is #3: Labels Out, Right Edge Leading.
  • We use a standard 3″ Core (though we can accommodate other core sizes).
  • Maximum diameter of the roll is 8 inches. We can build your machine to accommodate a roll of 12 inches for only $29. Order the Large Roll Option

Other label considerations:

  • Die-cut labels apply more easily than butt-cut labels because there is a space between die cut labels on the roll. Butt-cut plastic labels require more careful adjustments.
  • Very thin labels can be difficult to apply, regardless of whether you’re applying by hand or with the Easy Labeler. Discuss this with your printer.
  • Having your labels printed in a roll can actually be cheaper than printing your own sheets of labels on an inkjet or laser printer, considering the cost of blank labels and the cost of toner or ink. When you factor in the cost of a printer—let alone all the work—there’s no comparison. An affordable labeling machine just makes good business sense.

The width of the roll is not necessarily the width of your label. It will depend on the orientation of the label on the roll.

This graphic shows the numbering system most printers use for label orientation. Orientation is also referred to as unwind, or wind.
